blowin' in the wind

for some reason, finals week has this dreadful, hell-ish connotation. frankly, i don't understand why; i think it is great.

no classes, summer is so close, all you do is pack snacks, listen to good music and review all the glorious things you've discovered this semester (or discover them for the first time i suppose.)

yesterday was one of the best days of the semester; i got two 100%s on my finals (though not really as admirable as it sounds, it was still a lovely morale boost and helped me feel satisfied as i bid an official farewell to public health) and then i met up with friends on the grass, played the piano in the hfac, took a glorious night bike ride with sandals and a sweater (among other things, gee)  and then i watched Flash Gordon while i reviewed my Flash Cards for religion and ended the evening with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in Top Hat (as prompted by this video.)

and it's another beautiful day today. i'm doing a film analysis comparing Diva with Amelie, so i just might have to watch that entire film today. too bad for me eh? and my dear roommates are getting ready to move, and the more time goes on, the more room i'll have to myself.

{regarding thet title, i have a large spiel regarding the sublime music i've enjoyed as of late.}
