yes, this is what i had for dinner.

Grilled chicken, a little salad, homemade potato fries and hummus. I immediately loaded this picture onto my computer and just stared at it. I have really enjoyed cooking lately, but I may have enjoyed picture-taking of that food even more.

side note: i need a dslr, badly.

my brother jeff is a skilled kid.
he shot a bunch of images in the past little while and recently got them developed.
he uses an old film canon, and doesn't it take gorgeous shots? there's just something about film. i have to contain myself.
very simply but so nice.
this might be my favorite. the desperate looking handprints on an exit sign speak wonders.

Camera is fixed!

For today. Time seems to have flashed by a bit. Spring is about ready to have sprung, and I can't help feeling hesitant about it. I realize there is obviously still snow on the mountains, and yet the bulbs are popping on the hillside. It seems that life can often follow this pattern; even though it seems we're still in one season of life, the next is fast approaching, whether we're ready or not.

Oh how caramel syrup can make breakfast seem so glamourous and indulgent. Unfortunately, five rounds of all you can eat shifts one perspective. But I remain unfazed . . . still delicious.
This little quail, along with others, was skittering across my path. I didn't know there were quails around here, but apparently there are.

Today

I got this lovely frame and felt compelled to make use of it <<>> and so I cut up all the little art tags I had and put them all together. I love the eclectic and home spun look. I smile every time I look over at it while I brush my teeth, or walk toward the window.

It snowed

This could lead to a problem

One that I'm certainly willing to fix. The problem is that if I wait until bedtime to snap a photo, there will be a lot of my room. But in future, I will be more bold in whippin' out my camera to capture the essence of my day. But for now, this sultry picture of nightlife I see from my window suits my rather snoozy mood. Bonne nuit. 

Pour aujourd'hui

This picture has very little aesthetic merit, but I don't care. It's the bust of a certain important gentleman, and a cool doorpost. But even better, it's simply out of focus, and I daresay that gives it merit despite of itself.

Today was lovely. It snowed a little bit, but when I went out the side door to snap a photo, the sun was shining beautifully, and couldn't help but smile.

A Photo A Day

Well here we are at my desk. I love to put up post-its. That way I'm reminded of all the lovely things I want to do with my life all the time. Here are some goals . . . things I'm trying to do with my life to make it a little better. Still working on them . . .
