This has nothing to do with anything on your blog, but I don't know your email address. Have you read "Elegance of the Hedgehog?" I just remembered that I'd meant to ask you that since it takes place in Paris and if you haven't read it, you really should - because I think you will love it.

And the dishes in the post below are truly lovely - thrifted or not.
I have read the book and I think Muriel Barbery is an incredible writer (she has another book that I have my eye on) who seems to really understand french culture.
Plus, the other allusions to literature and film and the representation of Japanese culture have me pretty well hooked. (There's also a french-made film version that I watched on the flight back from Paris, interesting.)
