An Ode, not to Cassandre, but to thrifting

{*i'm giving up on trying to format this post. i'm all out of patience/ingenuity, so forgive me -well,blogger- for gaps+overlaps+general disarray.}

I feel that this print seems to go well with my response regarding, frankly, most activities. i would truly rather thrift than most other things. This is mostly because I come home with goods like that which is picture above. I came to college with two plates, a bowl, a mug* and some utensils. That was a while ago, but fortunately I have extraordinarily magnanimous roommates, and I've gotten by. But as I'm venturing out, I decided to stock my stock a bit. Variations on a theme is how I like to think about my strategy regarding selection.Anything that had stripes - black stripes - was piled into my arms, awkwardly carried around d.i. and then happily brought home - and all for a modest bundle of cash. Really, just look at that little burnt-yellow scalloped edge friends. I adore it. Most of what I've eaten since Saturday has been a sheer excuse to eat off these little dandies.

Anyway, I would like to end this ode by saying that - though many may not be of this particular persuasion - I would gladly be completely surrounded by thrifted items.

the end.
