the jobs of yesteryear: obsolete occupations

this is cool.

stolen from npr/rachel j who posted it on someone else's wall.

it makes me think about how often professors/others say that the jobs of our generation will be regarding things that no one even knows about yet. crazy huh?
this past weekend at S's recital, my family and i were discussing how much times have changed; no internet 8 years ago at K's recital, and no cell phone for mine. i confess that i'm grateful. sure it would have been nice to have had an easier way to get in touch with people, but then they'd have an easier way to get hold of me. oh boy. makes you think.
