A quick run through; More to come.

Here is a small smattering of a few of our adventures in Bangkok. The first day we stayed mostly in the downtown area, seeing the sights. The second day we went to Ayottayah, the former capital of Siam and saw some of the ruins. If you're ever interested in the history of Thailand, it is quite the story.
^^ Right outside our hotel; it was so humid that my lens fogged up almost completely. We stayed at a really nice place with an outdoor pool on the 8th floor; we took full advantage of it.

This is at the grand palace. There is so much to see; they have put a lot of buildings in a very small place. One of the most significant Buddha shrine is here, and people from all over Asia come to see it.

Gold is everywhere.

This is the king's palace; right before this there was a military march right outside; the people here LOVE the king. He is a very big deal. This are reminded me of a royal, Asian Disneyland.

This is the Guinness Book of World Records Largest Lying Down BUDDHA. It is a big deal.

The people I spend most of my time with, so silly.

This was at lunch; I'm pretty sure none of those fish were harmed for our meal. (Notice the photo of the king by the pepsi sign, those are everywhere.)

The view of Bangkok from the Golden mound; one of the highest points in the city.
I love the monks, (and I'm pretty sure they love me back.)

These gongs make a beautiful, booming sound.

The RUINS! They are pretty incredible. The Gold is a sign of religious piety.

The stone stairs are so worn down that they bulge on the outsides; this makes walking up and down them exceedingly tricky.

We sure do love the Buddha around here.

There are even Buddha's buried in tree roots. (For this picture we were required to kneel so our head wouldn't be above the Buddha's head.)

Like I said, Ruins.

We all got to go on a lovely boat ride; Bangkok is considered the Venice of Asia.

There's a whole lotta more where that came from.
