your girl cell

this was an interesting video on cnn.com. i don't know that i agree with everything she says, or how she says it, but i feel there are certainly ideas worth considering about feminism and what that means in our society.

in french we're discussing the history of misogynie and how it affected women then and continues to today. in religion we discuss how it is believed that women cannot halt the cycles of rebirth; they must be reincarnated as a man in order to achieve moksha.

how have the roles of women changed since the days of comin'-forth- from- the- rib days? have things changed? should they?

i will say that i loooove bein' a girl (this'll make more sense if you stick around for the entire video.) truly truly.

Thanks for the heads up on this one. I am heartened to know that someone is helping these women. I feel that we need to do what we can do wherever we are - and if everyone does that, it will help.

So I tell my daughters and granddaughters how strong they can be.

And I take every opportunity I'm given to teach my students - male and female - more than book learnin;!!

And I try to rally the women of the Arcadia Stake too!

And I myself love being a girl too!
