loads loads loads*

Wow, so much has happened, and things have fallen beautifully into place, and I've moved again, and started classes, and seen old friends, and made some new ones (some welcomed, some not so much) and I am anxious to see where things go this semester.

Indeed, I have ached for paris a few times (oh french and italian cinema showing "paris je t'aime" - it's simply cruel) but provo is proving itself to be just fine:
-apartment: lovely yellow walls and bunk beds.
-classes: not only interesting BUT they also fulfill ge's.
-new ward: don't know too much, but it looks fairly promising.

-my bike: fixed up by brother and an efficient (though chilling for the hands) means of transport.
-jobs: floating dauntingly above my head.
-scholarship: there's hope.
-washington seminar: fall fall fall* in d.c.
-number of people i recognized today: plenty, said hello to a few fellow parisians and basked basked basked* in commiseration and yearning for lovely france.

Plus I'm reading a great book {interpreter of maladies by jhumpa lahiri, thanks lovely rachel} and I'm going grocery shopping this evening which frankly ought to help me get out of my three day rut of cereal - tangerines - trail mix. woops. And I can do no wrong when listening to Regina.

I'm enjoying another nuance of newness. If 2009 was anything, it was lots of new things. I liked it, and am planning on upholding the tradition in 2010 . . . resolutions to follow.

{this is where i was about a year ago. weird.}

*this whole "repeat the same word three times for no real purpose other than shameless and needless emphasis" was mostly unintentional.

1. are the walls intentionally yellow? ;)

2. I love the "Hey Boys" window sign. So Helaman Halls, I miss those days!
