James, oh James.

I don't know why all of a sudden, here in this country, these phases have thrust themselves upon me, mais voila. James Taylor. I used to make fun of my parents egregiously (mostly in my head, i don't think they actually know about this,) for their hippie music likes. But maybe I've had a change of heart (john denver may never make it out of my mock-loop) but this dear man has been re-presented as prevalent and worthwhile.

For some reason "you've got a friend" was stuck in my head (when i first typed that in on youtube some dumb mariah carey song came up, i was ticked) so i listened to it. I then moved on to Fire and Rain. My reactions:
a) whoa, james taylor, what a hottie you were mid-seventies.
b) whoa, this song is so so great.

In fact I got a litle emotional just listening to it (but that may have resounding references to when gary gets in the car accident during remeber the titans, and that part just about breaks my heart every time i watch it.) Anyway, I will gladly take on these phases of all-of-a-sudden-i-have-this-inclination-to-listen-to-this-artist-from-way-back-when as long as they last. Until next time . . . enjoy.
(i would have put in a verson from the 70's, but this one just sounds so nice with the backup.)

I did know that you were making fun of our music!! James - he is the man. You might just want to know that "You've Got a Friend" was the theme of my 9th grade graduation. GOTTA LOVE IT!!!

I was busy with small children in the 70's and missed most of the music.

So it's nice that much of it is still around, when I have time to listen to it!
