summer chronicles: and i'm feeeeling good

[side note, did you know that the song that we oh-so-often associate with mr. buble was in fact done by many an artist before him. i didn't know that.]

Anyway, I'm feeling rather joyful at present. Perhaps it's the contrast to yesterday's dark and dreary waste that was, or maybe not.

I've just gotten back from doing some of my favorite things. Let's break it down.

~Work was lovely, even taking into account that I'd only gotten 4 hours of sleep! My photo lover was there, and we had some very special moments. We don't even need words - ha! And I was actually there when I was supposed to be, which is [for me] quite impressive. bleh
~I came home and after talking to my oh-so-lovely mother, I took a delicious nap. Oh and before that nap I had a fantastic little smoothie with the berries and peach that I froze.
~Looked on urban's website. Oh how that sale tab taunts me - be strong.
~Buzzed up the hill to the beautiful temple. It was so amazing. I was trying to talk myself out of doing it, which is usually a HUGE indicator that I should. And I did. It's almost like magic, only better. I can't help but come out a better person after entering such a sacred place. I'm able to let go of all the wild and confusing contortions of my little life and realize what really matters. I had a much needed tete-a-tete and came out with a fresh perspective on what I should do with my life. And the flowers + view were lovely.
~I needed a new bike tire. My last one went flat

*we interrupt this lame retelling of rachel's little life to say "holy crap" black*eiffel has posted pictures of her trip to paris . . . please proceed*

Anyway, so I got a new one at good ol' kmart. And if I can't be riding my bike, gearing up to do so is the next best thing.
~[anecdote:] The last time I went to kmart I biked past this natural food store with every intention of going in the next time I was around. Be still my heart! I'm a sucker for all natural foods. If some vampire wanted to trap me somewhere, just tempt with a new and natural little foodie shoppe. Done. I'd be dead. I could have wandered that place for hours. They had some better prices on lots of things than I've seen elsewhere. But, they carry a lot of organic products which are usually more expensive anyway, so . . . Well, I had to buy something. That was inevitable. So, I grabbed some bananes, and some alfalfa sprouts [i've never seen them anywhere else] and some ginger granola. Confession: well, I don't know how kosher this is, but I tested all the granolas before buying any. I figured that I knew I was going to give them some business, but I just wanted to be sure. Okay.
~Now I'm listening to the magnificent bon iver, and waiting for black*eiffel's photos to load. And, getting ready for another delicious nap.

That's right, I am living the dream.
