I didn't realize that today was Armed Forces Day until this morning, but I'm feeling appreciative. I don't think that I fully realize what so many endure (and have endured) to protect my family and me. We are blessed to live in a country that is generally peaceful and provides opportunity for its people.
I wrote and essay this past week on the Vietnam War Memorial, and the significance of a Vietnamese woman architect-Maya Ying Lin. It will definitely continue to stand as a memento of more than the war.
