Inspiration: Design

This website feels so fresh; they use really light, simple graphics with a subtle variety of types. Also, their branding is really refreshing; it's reoccurring but each representation is slightly unique. And the services they offer are straightforward and simple.
The simple variations on the homemade elements of this page are refreshingly organic. Each detail that is "hand-made" instead of the stock image makes it feel that thought was put into every aspect of the page. Also, the primarily black and white elements, highlighted by soft splashes of color make the site feel calm and collected.
This site is on the list because of the amazing effect on the splash page. Wow. Also, they keep the design really straightforward, using lines as separators and scattered black and white images.
These designers used the concept of the block of text really well. It's effective and barely on the breach of annoying. Their colors come together really well, plus they've got that fancy cutain-up-fixed-div effect, that I have NO idea how to do.
Primarily, I like that little "VIEW PROJECT" widget on the bottom right, the project images take up the whole screen and the surrounding type is nice and clean. Plus they have thumbnails of each project if you want to pare it down.
The website was fancy, but I principally like this piece of the front page - the simple graphics with the description and then a "START PROJECT" button. Nice.
On this project portion of the site, they had small graphics on top of the image, but when the mouse entered the space, the image zoomed in and the graphic swelled. Pretty.
