Women are Heroes

How true that is. I love this - not only does it justifiably highlight how fantastic females are, but they do it in a way that is cool and effiectively gets the word out.

They've got a website, and it explains that the guy in charge -JR- is attempting to make art galleries in out-of-the-way, non-touristy places which therefore benefits solely the people that live there, particularly "les rues, les immeubles, les bidonvilles, les favelas, et des villages." The art is portraits of women, and each of these portraits is placed in unique places for people to see. He does this work "incognito," confronting the spectator to an unedited artistic expression. Very interesting. And beautiful.
